I have always loved my cookies crunchy but my nephew made these delicious soft ones that leaves melting chocolate smudges around my mouth & a definite satisfaction to my tastebuds.

I have always loved my cookies crunchy but my nephew made these delicious soft ones that leaves melting chocolate smudges around my mouth & a definite satisfaction to my tastebuds. I was definitely bought over. Now I am hooked on soft cookies, right out of the oven. Burnt tongues certainly doesn't bother me!Sieve the dry

Ingredients

4 servings
  • flour2.5 cups
  • baking soda0.5 tsp
  • salt0.5 tsp
  • brown sugar1 cup
  • caster sugar0.5 cup
  • butter0.8 cup
  • eggs2
  • vanilla1 tsp
  • semisweet chocolates, cut into little chunks2 cups

Instructions

    Beat butter with both sugars.

    Put in eggs, one at a time.

  3. 3.

    Add vanilla

  4. 4.

    Put all the sieved flour mixture into the batter & mix using a spatula or wooden spoon.

  5. 5.

    Finally, toss around the chocolate chunks.

  6. 6.

    Chill the dough covered in the refrigerator for about 1/2 an hour.

    Drop 1 teaspoon of dough onto greased baking tins 2 inches apart.

    Bake in a preheated 180 deg oven for about 5 to 8 minutes.

    The cookie is done when the edges is light golden brown in colour but still a little soft to touch.

    Remove the cookies to a wire rack immediately with a spatula.

    Don't let you kids eat it while it's still hot. The chocolate will definitely burn!
