After a Kids Can Cook class with an enthusiastic group of children, two of the kids & a mum posted these messages on my page.......Mohd Ikram wrote "Thanks auntie for teaching us how 2 cook lasagne n cup cakes. We enjoyed it. Tq too for kakak Irra n abang.

Ingredients

  • flour0.8 cups
  • cocoa powder0.8 cups
  • baking powder0.5 tsp
  • salt0.3 tsp
  • butter0.8 cup
  • sugar1 cup
  • eggs3 large
  • vanilla essence1 tsp
  • buttermilk0.5 cup
  • butter0.8 cup
  • cocoa powder0.8 cups
  • icing sugar2 cups
  • milk2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Sieve all the dry ingredients in a bowl.

  2. 2.

    In a mixing bowl, cream the butter & sugar till fluffy.

  3. 3.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well in between each egg.

  4. 4.

    Add the vanilla essence.

  5. 5.

    Add the dry ingredients alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

  6. 6.

    Pour into the cupcake liners.

  7. 7.

    Bake in a preheated 180ºC oven for 15 minutes.

  8. 8.

    When cool, ice with frosting & decorate as desired.

  9. 9.

    Sieve the icing sugar & cocoa powder together.

  10. 10.

    Add the icing sugar gradually, alternating with milk until it has a smooth consistency.

  11. 11.

    Spread on top of the cooled cupcakes.
